Have you been dreaming of learning to fly? Our Discovery flight is a great way to make your dream a reality!

Our Discovery Flight offers an introductory flight lesson with an FAA Certified Flight Instructor where you will be introduced to flying an aircraft. Our instructor sitting at the second set of controls will ensure your safety and comfort whilst you enjoy and experience the excitement of flying an aircraft in your very first flight!

A full briefing prior to flying will prepare you for your first time at the flight controls. On completion of your flight, you will also be presented with a Discovery Flight Certificate.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DISCOVERY FLIGHT & GIFT CERTIFICATE

Limit 1 per customer per visit
Must be age 16+
200 pound weight limit and 6’4″ height restriction applies
Reservations required 14 days in advance and subject to availability
Merchant cancellation/re-scheduling policy of 48 hours applies; voucher subject to forfeiture
Must sign participation waiver
Valid Government issued photo ID required (proof of US citizenship, either a passport, birth certificate); non US citizens must have proof of legal status in the country, (visa or permanent residency)
Non US citizens will require a TSA clearance before Introductory Flight Lessons can be commenced (merchant will assist in applying for TSA clearance)
Introductory Flight lessons cannot be commenced until proof of citizenship is established
By participating in a Discovery Flight as passenger or customer, the participant authorizes merchant to administer first aid in an emergency. Participant waives and releases all claims against Avel Flight School, its associate organizations and its agents for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, expenses, financial obligations or liabilities that the participant may personally incur or any damage or injury to the person or property of others that the participant may cause while participating in the Discovery Flight
Avel Flight School only insures its employees and aircraft for accidents and liability. Passengers and customers are not covered under this insurance for personal accidents and liability
No refunds/credit is given once ground school or flight portion begins
Takeoff and landing delays may not be predictable due to the nature of flying and Avel Flight School will not be responsible for delays.
All services must be redeemed during a single visit by same customer
