THE SEQUENCE OF THE VARIOUS STAGES OF THIS COURSE

Online Ground School

  • You will receive your online codes upon enrollment
  • You can start your online ground school as soon as you receive these codes
  • This interactive online ground school includes detailed study material covering all required theory for this course
  • It also prepares you for the FAA computer-based written examination with simulated multiple simulated practice tests
  • This online ground school is self-paced
  • Upon completion of this, along with your three consecutive 90% scores on your practice examination, you will be prepared to take your FAA computer-based written examination

Virtual Class

  • Virtual classes are scheduled routinely throughout the year in a group set-up
  • This is done with a live instructor and can be completed along with your online ground school simultaneously
  • This virtual interactive live class conducted online covers all the important theoretical concepts required for this course
  • Contact us after enrollment for the next available class

In-person Scheduled Class

  • This is an in-person class conducted at our facility, scheduled routinely throughout the year in a group set-up
  • This must be completed prior to taking the FAA computer-based written exam
  • You will be scheduled to attend the next available in-person class once you arrive at our facility at DuPage Airport
  • This in-person class offers the opportunity to review and get additional clarification on the material learned in both the online ground school and the virtual live class

FAA Computer-based Written Exam

  • The FAA computer-based written examination is conducted in-house at our facility
  • Upon demonstrating three consecutive 90% scores or above on your practice tests, you will need to contact our flight school manager to register and take your exam
  • Students are required to pass this examination before starting flight lessons

Commencement of Flight Training

Once TSA/AFSP approval / endorsement is obtained, you will be scheduled with a flight instructor and start your flight lessons.

Oral Exam Preparation

While you are undergoing your flight training, you will also need to simultaneously prepare for your FAA Oral Examination.

Instrument Rating Checkride

  • Once you have completed the required aeronautical experience and have exceeded Airmen Certification Standards required by the FAA, you will graduate from the course with the instructor signing you off for the final FAA Checkride
  • The Checkride includes oral examination and flight test by an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner

The flight lessons have been designed to build your proficiency in flying the aircraft progressively. The theoretical knowledge you have learned in your online ground school, virtual live class and in-person class will be applied during your flight training. Our syllabus book and flight training record will be used to follow the prescribed flight lesson sequence.
